Student Session

SAINT 2009 Student Session - Call for Papers

The Student Session at SAINT 2009 will provide an international forum for graduate students to interact with faculty mentors and other researchers. This specially arranged session is intended for students who have engaged in a research project related to Internet and its application and have produced some preliminary results.

The program commitee will strive to provide constructive guidance for completion of the proposed research and motivation for a research career. Each selected paper will be given 15 minutes for preentation and 15 minutes for in-depth discussion with mentors. All accepted papers will be published in the electronic conference proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society.

Submissions will be judged on originality, overall contribution, technical merit, and presentation quality. It is anticipated that each submission will be reviewed by at least three mentors from the program committee. Each student invited to attend will be assigned a specific mentor who will be in charge of leading the discussion after the student's presentation.

Interested students should submit an extended abstract to include:
1. Research topic
2. Related work and their current colutions
3. Preliminary idea, the proposed approach and the results
4. Summary of the contributions in the proposed research

The length of the initial submission and camera-ready versions of the abstract should be limited to 2 pages (IEEE Proceedings style) printed in 10-12point font. Please follow the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to pay the student registration fee to the conference.
